Minnesota’s alternative country/rock legends, The Honeydogs, announce the
release of their 1996 classic album, "Everything, I Bet You," for an extremely limited edition vinyl run. This is the first time “Everything, I Bet You” has been pressed and will make an excellent addition to any fan’s or avid collector’s collection.
‘Everything, I Bet You”, weaves stories of a different time between the driving guitar riffs and catchy hooks, igniting a warm, bright nostalgia for new listeners and lifetime fans alike. Songs like ‘Glee’ and ‘Tell Me’ pack brilliant guitar hooks and Adam Levy’s distinct and passionate vocals.
The Honeydogs get introspective, as evidence by the moody and honest "Bad Day, Good Night" and heartbreak of “Miriam”. They have created a timeless record that has stood the test of time and resonates far beyond the 90’s era.
Adam Levy recounts his time on the road with “Everything, I Bet You”,
“We’d toured most of the country — four of us in an old, rickety Dodge van. Some nights we played to four people, others to packed houses—and we were naively excited about possibilities. There was a hubris of being in a band on the road. We were crashing on people’s floors in Richmond, VA or couches in Santa Fe, NM, tweaking the setlist and song arrangements every day, eating chicken wings at 4:00 am in an Oxford, MS motel room, meeting music fans, and just living the rock and roll lifestyle. It was going to add up to something. We were having the time of our life, and we were hopeful and confident that it was going to evolve into something even bigger. The brass ring in those days was a “major label deal.”
The Honeydogs hail originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, and quickly made their imprint on the Minnesota music scene as well as garnering attention on the international stage. The group has gone on to perform in other musical endeavors such as an alternative country trio called Turn Turn Turn featuring Adam Levy, and their own solo careers, but The Honeydogs will always be a Minnesota staple and honored alongside others on the side of the beloved nightclub, First Avenue.
